How the fuck can I get good credit? I am always refused credit for everything!! I have never been in debt and have been in my bank overdraft twice in 9 years or so. I have no credit cards but get refused for them anyway! Moved in september 2004 into my flat but lived in my previous flat for over 3 years.

Anyone know how I can get this annoying problem fixed???

look at www.Equifax.co.uk  to see why they are rejecting you.

I had a terrible credit rating for years and couldnt get credit for a packets of fags.Someone told me to get a club book(yes I know gay,old womanish and pikey)

So I applied for a littlewoods catalogue figuring that  if single mums etc can get them then I must have a chance.Bought the odd bit now and then for 6 months and kept my repayments always on time..

Before I knew it I was getting offered credit for anything .You should be able to do the same with a Capital One credit card they give pathetic low credit limits for the start but you can soon increase it and get other cards.

Contact a credit reference agency, Experian and Equifax are the two main ones I think. Get a copy of your credit record (they charge about 2 quid for it) this might throw something up. You can be refused for the most stupid of things, including being linked to someone you have no connection with that lived at your address in the past.

As a general rule of thumb, if you apply for credit and are refused, leave it 3 months before applying again.
