I think Victor Chandler are just after another bit of free publicity, it was them who 'leaked' the John Ward non-story.

ling would be the wrong move for me. When we have names in the hat like Dowie, Holloway, Pearce etc why even mention Ling. wouldn't be a foward step if you ask me

Ling has worked minor miracles at Orient in getting them up and keeping them up (so far). And they play nice attractive football.

To be honest of the names listed I think there are at least 5 who could do a very good job here, and I include John Ward in that.

I'm not as excited by Ling as the others, I would see it as more of a sideways step.

I've no idea what that means.  A manager that spends most saturdays on the piss?

From conversations I have had wih AF it is my uderstanding that he is keen to drive a business model around the youth set up which coincidentaly fits is with the new league ruling on home grown talent planned for next season.

When Malps was selected it was indicated that the other applicants were not keen to follow this route and initmated that they would require transfer funds which went seriously against them and one of those was Ling.

So, unless Ling has had a dramatic change of management plans I cannot see Ling being in the top 4 but could understand why Psycho would be hugely appealing to AF and why STFC may appeal to him

This isn't intended to be provocation, but what is the turnover and profit/loss for Orient over the last few years?

I never got the whole Ling love in. I think he is doing an average job at best. But I have nothing to base that on other than league position. If Orient had a ridiculously small turnover I could see where you are coming from.

It's not malpas' fault that fans hadn't heard of him.
