are a fucking joke.in recent weeks they have become more ridiculous than they ever have been.giving 7 ratings to players when you have been beat by a non league team is pathetic.
the man of the match selections recently have raised my eyebrows somewhat, but todays ratings take the piss.
does the reporter know football,or is he just some twat who knows how to type articles?
alot of people take what they read on matches as the truth.i dont think the adver at the moment is telling it how it is.

The adver are in a difficult position though, if they slate the team then the manager refuses to talk to them, if they slate individual players, players refuse to talk to them.

The adver probably owes at least 50% of it's readership to town fan's and if they didn't have any town news as the club refuse to speak to them then their readership would fall hence their profits fall's and the sports writer get's sacked.

That said it is only one person's opinion though, although I do think their match reports are getting worse, and they seem to be able to drag 2-3 days of news out of after match interviews.

Most of the time though the adver never tell's you anything you don't know, if you want investigative journlism then look at the wdp

I couldnt help but laugh seeing the Adver stating Patrick Kanyuka was Swindon's man of the match vs Histon.  Kanyuka called his performace 'average' as well.

He like everyone else was shocking.  What is evident is he has no pace or positional awareness and was supposed to be marking the histon lad that scored.  Thought he was dire.  God knows what he calls a 'poor' performance.

Ditto.

Although according to the Adver he was supposed to play for the reserves.

I wont be happy if the beast goes!

I'm behind Malpas, but if the Beast is forced out, i'll be forced to join the Malpas out brigade.

Maybe Ifil is too much work to be a worthwhile player for us.

Thought everyone was poor Saturday, but Kanyuka was no worse than Ifil has been all season long.

Kanyuka won a lot if headers, especially from their long throws.  Not that he did that well overall, but there were a lot worse.

Is that bad? I think the last time I read an adver match report they were using some bizarre 6 point system which ranged from 4-9.

The Adver have been well off the pace recently, the wdp on friday had it all over the back page that Malpas was going but the adver had nothing at all.
