ok, another question, has anyone here downloaded the 'huge player database'? i've downloaded it, but where the hell does it go?

There's apparently a trick to get it to work. I'm going to give it a go later. Do you use steam to play FM or do you run it off the cd?

coz the english players are shit with exeption of a few, and those few soct an arm and a leg, just had to pay 10mil for andrew driver, and he's not even been capped yet at 23, same goes for joe mattock, 5mil at 18 years old.

The only English players worth buying are the likes of Terry, Owen etc who would never join me anyway. I do have some good youngsters coming through though.

I have unlocked the huge database. It's nowhere near as good as selecting load all players from certain countries.

However, I have managed to get some right gems in the test game I started so I may continue with that.

Looks like the tactics side is the main focus this year. Like the look of the instant touchline options including the ability to tell certain players to "get stuck in" and "pump the ball forward"

I skipped 2009 and kept plugging away with 2008 but this looks like an essential purchase! I've always wanted to be able to bellow instructions during the game!

what a complete fucktard this game is. up until this year i've had great squad harmony, everyone was happy, yaaaaaaay. a 9th in my first championship season was followed by a 6th the next year, which i lost the playoff semi to west brom. the following year, my tactics have turned to shit, my squad dont get on, everyone wants to move to 'bigger teams' (most of the unhappy players that have left have gone to relegation certainties or league one teams) and i still have no fucking money, and the club is still losing £400k a month, even though i'm £13k below my wage limit. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!
