Its almost laughable to anyone with even the smallest grain of musical knowledge to say the Beatles were overated. Putting aside the huge catalouge of songs, they were musical pioneers in the recording process alongside the Beach Boys. Constantly pushing the boundaries in musical and cultural directions. To have one incredible songwriter in a band is brilliant, to have three is just down right fucking ludricous.

Now dont get me started on pink.

I'd say U2 but that song Sunday, Bloody Sunday "really encapsulates the frustration of a Sunday, doesn't it? You wake up in the morning, you've got to read all the Sunday papers, the kids are running round, you've got to mow the lawn, wash the car, and you think 'Sunday, bloody Sunday!'"

Agree with Lennon and Harrison.

Mcartney wrote Mull of Kintyre and the Frog Chorus, which imo invalidates anything else he's written........

I'd like to nominate Michal Jackson.  yeah he's written a few good ones 30 years ago but he's also written some of the worst songs i've ever heard. and hes a fiddler.
