I know this is a light hearted thread but id like to say that BBCs obsession with Dickens and the like really fucking annoys me.Why cant they commision new stuff? why does everything have to be period drama.Sniffy BBC bull shit!

Deadset starts tomorrow on E4,Big Brother and Zombies...Yes!!!!

It was alright. Not in the league of Tess of the Durbervillies from a few weeks back though.

I do enjoy a good costume drama but then its allowed cause i'm a girlie girl.If you middle aged men enjoyed it i'd be a bit worried for you.Just stick to Dave, sure Top gear will be on soon   Wink

I like a bit of Hardy, Dickens or George Elliot....I take Yeovil's point, it's safe and middle class.

t was ok...but with 14 episodes its got to get better,Dickens was an amazing writer and Little Dorrit is classed as one of his best....thing what amazes me is that Dickens really wasnt a rich man when alive and ony come to the fore a while after his death.
