First of all, Hello there!
![Embarrassed](//thetownend.com/Smileys/tefsmile/blush.gif)
Second of all, theres no "ancient animosities" with Malpish! We took a dislike to him because he is not a football manager, he doesn't have the brain to be one or tactial knowledge to try and act like one!
At one point 2 seasons ago we were 16 points clear of relegation in the SPL to then rely on another team to score a late late goal for us to seal our SPL status after slipping up a 2-nil lead at home to lose 3-2.
The man doesn't know what hes doing, hope yous get rid soon!
And to answer the further few questions..
His appointment wasn't a surprise for the 'Well fans because we always appoint our no.2 after we lose a manager (Terry Butcher, you are a legend!).
It took a few weeks for the cracks to appear and we all knew Malpas is/was more a coach than manager, when TB was manager Maurice had the respect from the players the second TB left he lost the team the second he had them!
Funny you word it like that, our good players did become shit and then suddenly get better under the knew MM (Mark McGhee). Examples, two young boys David Clarkson (now a solid Scotland international) and Marc Fitzpatrick (as far as I know he has been in and out the Scotland u21's) were gash under Malpas and soon as he left Clarky was joint 2nd top scorer last season (after Chris Porter who we got from Oldham) and Fitzy is now a first team pick now in midfield.
Clean sheets? What are they? Definitely wasn't Maurices bedding knowing his jackit was on a shacky nail..
Maurice was a Scotland international in his day, CB he was, it may surprise you, our defence couldn't hold water if they tried.. rarely rarely kept clean sheets and always relied on Scott McDonald (now at Celtic) to score more than we conceded.
Take from that what you wish..
