Just out of interest how much did the tickets cost for the prem game,I went to Villa v Liverpool 2 years back a ticket in the doug ellis cost me £22, at the same time swindon's was near enough the same.
It depends how big the opposition is... range from £20-£33ish depending on who you're watching and where you're sitting - Stadium of Light has good views for the neutral throughout.

Saw us draw 0-0 up there one evening...Darren Bullock had an excellent game patrolling the midfield area in front of the defence. Saw us lose 6-0 midweek at Middlesbrough later that season (I think).

We paid £33. Bit wet but worth it for sure!

With two hat tricks which team gets the match ball to sign? Coin toss? Who grabs it first? Two match balls produced at the end?

Cox had a ball under his arm at the end... But I imagine they both got a ball.

I didn't realise that Hartlepool was so close to Durham... I usually travel east or north thus far on my northern travels... Only took about 15 minutes from Durham. Hartlepool was a bleak place, nothing like being welcomed to rows of boarded up houses et al. I enjoyed it despite the conclusion.

I will never forget my first trip to Hartlepool.
We were on that train from Newcastle to Hartlepool. Loads of white water on the sea, and the trees (those few that could take the battering) were bending over sideways. Put about 4 layers on to get off the train and went in the first pub. Bar man had 2 black eyes and a broken nose. Kronenbergs were £1 a bottle. We got set upon on the way to the ground and they were nasty afterwards as well.
A very very hard place.

The first player to score their hat-trick gets the ball.

oh, and credit to smith for coming over to the fans after the final whistle and apologising. At least he had the balls to face up to it.

I saw him applaud us, I didn't see an apologetic gesture though. I wasn't paying that much attention though.
