the one thing I did notice today though is that Arsenal do seem to want to walk the ball in the net, thats very frustrating for their own fans I think, I know it would infusriate me, especially when they have players that obviosuly have such a level of skill they dont need to do that.
they generally forgive them that as the good by far outweighs the bad(they worship wenger).arsenal overachieve and play fantastic football.i know alot of fans would like wenger to spend money but accept he doesn't do that.they wont win the league due to manu and chelseas spending.but boy do they run them close on a fraction of the money those two spend.

I think looking at them today they badly need another strong striker. One who can hussle and bussle a bit up front and mix it about a bit.

i think they need a centre half, centre mid, keeper, and forward if they are to challenge the top 2.wenger wont buy though and has faith in what he has.they fall short sometimes, and get the odd poor result like today, but time after time prove the doubters wrong.they dont pay top wages, pay high prices for players,or bow to player power.if all managers were like wenger football would be better for it i reckon.

Every bet that I have on for the season includes Hull getting relegated.
This fucks everything up.
I bet on Hull to stay up. I also bet on them to get a point today! Bloody Arsenal.

My only problem with Wenger has been that when he has bought players he tends to buy foreign, but again that is partly due to the lack of ability of British players, the high valuation and wages and also he does seem to have a few more young English lads coming through now which can only be good for English fotball IMO.

Im not expert on Arsenals finances but if they want to challenge for the top 2 they need to give Wenger 50million to spend as he pleases.
Its alright talking about bringing through youth but the best Arsenal players for the most part have been players Wenger has bought like Henry, Vieira, Petit, Edu, Ljungberg, Pires, Kanu, Wiltord, Lauren, Sol Campbell although on a free.
Wenger could make 50million go a long way and could probably buy about 4 or 5 youngish (say 22-24) players from France, Germany and Spain and really improve his team.

It typifies Arsenal over the last few seasons. Pretty to watch, no end product.
Wenger, overrated.
Mourinho agrees with you, whilst being mischievous: "Arsenal are a unique team: their coach hasn't won for years, but he's an idol."

Arsenal's wage bill is on a par with Manchester United's (both of whom's is less than Chelsea's) so to suggest that they are doing it on a budget is a long way from the truth.
They spend a fair amount on buying these young players as well, but have a non-disclosure policy when it comes to transfer fees.
