I see the mighty Yeading now want to play the Toon at their own place...

Can anyone see a repeat of the Newcastle Vs Stevenage tie where a everyones favourite Cockney/Italian poacher was a prominant figure?

I heard this morning that they wanted to switch it, that might have been some of their players saying that, cos they wanted to play in front of 50,000.

I don't think you should be able to switch it unless asked to by the police

Yeah the FA changed the rules.  The match cannot be moved to newcastle even if the police say so.  It would have to go to the nearest ground.  Also any additional money made out of the switch would not go to the two clubs, it would go into a pot!

That's a good rule, I used to hate it when they kept on switching just to make a load of money.  Least Yeading will have to earn their day at St James' now.

I thought that the season after whoever it was switched their tie against Arsenal to Highbury they stopped teams doing that.

Regardless of other reasons for switching, I like to see Premiership players go to play at lower league grounds - especially non-league ones!

Yeah me too.  that is the magic of the cup!  This big giant going to some lowly non-league ground and getting beat 1-0 on a lovely soggy pitch!

I believe now, that if you can't play for safety reasons, then you've got to look to go to somewhere near.

So Yeading, might go to Brentford, or Reading.

It's been said it'll be either Brentford or QPR if the game has to be switched.
