Yeah because as the best armed country in the Middle East, and the only nuclear power, you can understand how they'd feel vunerable can't you.
Perhaps it's the fact that all their neighbours swore to wipe them out from the very day the country was founded, launched two major wars to attempt to do precisely that and some (including one that is rapidly acquiring a nuclear capability) are still sworn to do just that. It doesn't excuse the treatment of the Palestinians, but it'd make me a bit touchy too.

*bump*
I see George is back at Westminster, thanks to the 'Bradford Spring' as he called it.
Always good to see Labour get a pasting, as their leaders come across as a bunch of complete arseholes. Not that the other lot are much better.

I was going to mention his US Senate appearance, and then saw I already had in this thread....3˝ years ago! His performance against the US Senate committee 3 or 4 years ago was the finest piece of political theatre I think I've ever seen.
Here's the clip. Whether you think Galloway is a tool or not, this is just brilliant. The Senate Comittee brought him there with the intention of tearing in to him over his links to Saddam Hussein - and he tore in to them. The looks of shock on their faces of the Republican Senators when it finally dawned on them that Galloway had turned the tables was poetry.

George won't be the best local MP that Bradfords has ever had, and he is far from perfect, but the "major" parties need a kick in the bollocks and much better it is him & Respect that deliver it than the EDL or whatever the NF are calling themselves these days

The most greasy, slimy toady fucking excuse for a man in my book.
On Talk Sport if anyone challenged him or tried to disprove his point he would cut them off.
Only a matter of time before his pack of cards falls down,i tend to look at him as a Scottish Ken Livingston.....that old geezer who spouted bollocks while lining his own pockets.

I wouldn't describe myself as his biggest fan but anyone who can go into the lion's den that is The Senate and basically tear them a new ass hole has my utmost errrr.....respect. To do that you need to have steel balls the size of footballs. Credit where it's due. On the other hand...
