saw that earlier on goal.com. stupidity. a mate at work told me that they put an estimated worth of 300m euros bids in for players. i.e Berbatov, Villa, Robinho, Gomez etc etc.

also on SSN someone said this morning might be one of the male presenter who is a city fan that they have unlimited funds for the January transfer window. i hope all this money and bringing in top european players does not hinder the futures off the young British players at the club like Ireland, Johnson, Onourha(sp) Richards, Evans.

some facts: its mental
The estimated wealth of the Al Nahyan family is an almost unimaginable $1 trillion (a thousand billion dollars) or more than £560bn.,
With the oil price surging recently, his family's wealth has been increasing massively by the day. Every time the price of a barrel of oil rises by $1, it is estimated Abu Dhabi gains as much as $500m (£280m) a day. (insane)
and i love this quote
"Ronaldo has said he wants to play for the biggest club in the world, so we will see in January if he is serious," said Dr Sulaiman.

Well, we know where we're goin' But we don't know where we've been And we know what we're knowin' But we can't say what we've seen And we're not little children And we know what we want And the future is certain Give us time to work it out

Cue Ferguson's retirement at the end of the season I'd imagine. Mark Hughes will be sacked by then and ready to take over.

Don't forget the Man U are now in debt to their eyeballs thanks to the Glazers. If City bid £100m for Ronaldo, there is absolutely no way they will turn it down.

It just goes to show that the premier is becoming even more of a closed shop, in years to come you will need to spend £ millions just to stand a chance of staying up.
