I tried the new Bloc Party album - Bloody awful! I like Silent Alarm after getting it recommended by you folks. The second album was disappointing, while this is just pish !

I love Chris Brown and Neyo!! Ross at work made me a CD and its amazing he managed to illegally download some tracks of Neyos new album! I am not listening to any girls aloud as it makes me too upset that they have cancelled the concert at Bowood and refunds cannot be sorted out!!! also Kylies X album as I watched her tour on channel 4 at the weekend and I wept as its the only tour Ive missed of hers for years and she is amazing and my hero

I spent my time between puking and shitting last week lying in bed watching streamed episodes of "The Wire", the Tom Waits theme music now runs around my brain constantly. It's driving me mental. I see you still haven't got over your Ryan Adams / Whiskeytown / Americana in general obsession. Some nice stuff there. Am I wasting my time recommending you go back and listen to a few of The Band's albums? You've been there already right? If not then "The Band" is a good place to start, or "Music from Big Pink" or "The Basement Tapes".

I fucking love The Band. I recommend the book This Wheel's on Fire: Levon Helm and the Story of the Band. There's some very good literature on The Band.

I'll look it up. Since my post I've managed to drive Tom Waits out of my head but he's been replaced by "The night they drove Old Dixie down" on a permanenent loop. I hate it when songs get stuck in your head and you're not somewhere where you can play music.

I used to think the Band were utter shite, then after lengthy unwanted exposure, I decided they were ace....now I'm back to thinking it's shite....no idea why.

Think it's more that reactionary anthems like the one I your head, have no meaning for me....your neck may be red, mine isn't.
