I think it would be nice if the Liberals went round with flowers up their arseholes.
..... got back to the sixties when they had a lot of seats, you know. And there'd be this subliminal connotation between flowers up their arseholes and, er, a lot of seats. And people would identify with that, I think.

I read each manifesto and the Lib Dems one was a bit lame.  As much as I have never agreed with the introduction of poll tax - now council tax - I don't think a local income tax would be fair or workable.

On a completely subjective level - I'd be paying shit loads more tax under the Lib dems and not be reaping any benefits from it.

I don't see why students shouldn't pay for their education?

I'd never vote Tory as long as I breathe.  How could anyone vote for a party that gave us such delights as the Falklands War, poll tax, 13 year NHS waiting lists, and destroyed hundreds of thousands of lives of miners and their families.  That's without mentioning the hundreds of thousands of people who lost their homes when interest rates spiralled out of control at 15%, the hundreds of thousands of elderly people who died in winter because they couldn't afford to put their heating on and of course the 4 million unemployed.
