word up dave. I don't like him particularly, but compared to Henman he's positively lovely.

I agree - fair play to him for playing up to the scots v england thing, at least he is keeping the rivalry alive. Even if he wasnt classed as a "GB" player id still be cheering him on.

Murray's kinda cool. He's got that happy-go-lucky, great-to-be-alive Scottish lovableness about him. Like Sturrock, Malpas, Fergie... Only they weren't in Dunblane, so maybe they're all just happy to be Scouwtesh..

That was quality last night fair play to Murray. Don't really understand the dislike for the fella, I think he'd have been worse growing up and disliking england and then all of a sudden start spouting off pro-english sentiment just to get support. The bloke is Scottish and as such doesn't like to see the english football and rugby team win. A little bit like a huge number of englanders hate to see the gerries win at the football.
At least the lad's not a hypocrite, fair play, and yes I agree Nadal will knock him out in the quarters, but number 12 seed getting into the last 8 is better than expected.
He simply p1sses all over Henman, who was talentless* and characterless, his career will (barring injuries) be much more entertaining than the posh knob from Poxfordshire!!!
Hail Hail Murray is here!!
(*okay not talentless but far less talented)

"lets go Andy,lets go,lets go Andy,lets go"
seriously what the fuck.
Oh and the countdown to a mexican wave
3,2,1 wahayyyyyyyyyyyyyy
total mongers Yeovil I think that may have been due to the fact centre court was infiltrated by a bunch of Aussies. A classic sign of a rabble of australians is the singing of "let's go "enter name here", let's go!!"

I won't use the fishing emoticon because i wasn't fishing as such, just being ironic. Murray is as miserable as the rest of Scotland. I thought that was clear with my comparisons.

You can't really blame the Aussies. The lame attempts at footy style chanting, generating a horribly cheesy and fake atmosphere, has been a consistent part of watching the British representative at Wimbledon for years now. It's cringe worthy. I think the title of the thread needs to lose the now. Maybe change it to a then.
