gazundering, where the buyers offer a lower price before the exchange is made. This has really p*ssed me off. Because the market is poor, the buyers of my gaff are saying the house isn;t what it was worth when we accepted their earlier offer.
They want 5% off the price!
Fair play for asking in this climate I guess, but annoying none the less. Any housing estate agenty people know where I stand on this?
I know the poeple i'm buying off are unlikely to budge on their price.

Well, as much as I don;t like to have my pants pulled down by first-time buyers, I don;t want to lose my dream house either. So I go to them with a counter offer?

Yep, you can. If they've gone 5% less then try and haggle with them to a more acceptable level. Also ask them to provide evidence of how they came to the 5% figure. Have you spoken to your solicitor about it?

Seem's to me that they're just trying to make you panic and accept a lower offer, stand firm and tell them that you're not budging from the original agreed amount.
And don't get me started on Solicitors, useless Cunts.....when i bought my House i ended up hounding them constantly just to get them to do some fucking work.

Could be worse - Your buyer's surveyer could have valued your house 60k less than the agreed price like mine did ! :shock:
Ref gazundering. Just go back with two words - F#ck off ! No negotiation, no nothing. Don't deal with w@nkers like that. Tell your estate agent to put the house back on the market and then wait for them to panic and come back at the existing price. Take control of the situation = Dont be a victim.

This happened to a friend recently and appears to be the fashionable thing to do at the moment it’s all over the Tinternet and press how to ‘gazump’ sellers. Anyway he got a mate to view the property and put in a tentative counter offer for the just off the original selling price.
The original buyers panicked and raised their offer. Bit risky but if you’re not getting anywhere it’s worth a punt.
