Arshavin was immense last night. Also well done to Lubos Michel for overturning the Red Card off Plodin.

i agree, he was immense in the cup final for zenit aswell, player of the tourny for me so far.

Wasn't that only his second game
yup

he is quality though, ran the game against england when they lost in russia.

i hope he ends up in the premiership, great player to watch

He'd be wasting his time joining Newcastle - he's got to be going to a team like Arsenal... I've read Barcelona want him too.

Well well well the Wussians beat the dutch, what a surprise, well for some maybe.  I still find it amusing how some media whores were writing the russians off after the Spain game, even though after the first 20 mins the Russians had played just as well as the Spaniards.   On another day I think the Ruskies would have beaten them.

On to tonight, another one too close to call, though if I had to back one team I think it would be Italy, even without Gattuso.  Should be some decent footie on display though.

These Euro's have been a breath of fresh air, love the way few teams seem to be running to the corners (time wasting) in the last 10 mins as seems to be the way forward this side of the channel.

It's always the same really... Teams like the Dutch, Spanish, English, Czech Republic and more recently the Portuguese who get backed to do something and it's always the usual suspects and "lesser" outfits like Croatia, Turkey and Russia - all decent, battling international teams cause the "suprises" which really isn't a suprise at all - just mere arrogance of the powerful football nations.

2004 - Greece
2000 - Portugal (who hadn't been considered a "force" before this)
1996 - Czech Republic & Croatians
1992 - Denmark & Sweden

Is Toni now officially the worst centre forward in the tournament?
