Just put on Cast Away.  Seems to have a lot of critics but the couple of times I've seen it I've really liked it.  Was going to go to bed but don't like the thought of getting up for work.  Denial is great.

Observe and Report looks like a pile of crap, much like Paul Blart: Mall Cop (I will still probably watch it though). I saw a trailer for Drag Me To Hell, I'm not a horror fan particularly but I thought that looked decent.

I have acquired both films free of charge so just wondered if anybody had seen them. I don't really know what either is about, other than the genres.

Caught Inglorious Basterds at the weekend and it has to be up there with Tarantinos’ Reservoir Dogs.  Brilliantly shot throughout, great story with the usual Tarantino spin but not to indulgent and features some great over the top acting.

Definitely his take on classic war stories like the Great Escape so if you like that sort of thing you’ll love this.

The ending left me a little shell-shocked.  If anyone has seen it or is going to see it then let me know what you think as I really quite wasn’t expecting it all to pan out like it did.  8.5/10

A lot of his critics think that Tarantino is getting lazy and Inglorious proves this further. The guy is an unbelievable filmmaker so has more pressure than most to make classic films.

I saw it and really, really enjoyed the film. It's a long haul and it could have been trimmed down in places but it was still good.

I.B. is worth seeing for Christoph Waltz's performance alone. Fassbender, Laurent and Pitt put in good shifts too.

My only problem was Eli Roth as Donny Donowitz, I didn't rate him in what is a very cool role that could've gone to an actor as opposed to a director/bit-part actor.

10,000 BC. Watchable, but only just.

Defiance is up next.

Good film Defiance. I watched the good the bad and the weird at the weekend, a korean remake of the Leone film set in the 20's. Well it's certainly weird! Got my directors cut of Watchmen through the post today, not seen it but looking forward to it immensely.

It's been on my metaphoric list since it was released, just never got round to it. Gawd bless LoveFilm.

Drag Me To Hell wasn't very good. Obviously horrors can be a bit thin on the plot side of things but the way stuff got tagged on to the story as it went on was stupid. Apart from trying to make you jump in a few places the whole idea and the ending was very lame.

It was all too Buffy or Charmed without the tongue in cheekiness that comes with those.

Defiance was good, probably could have been twenty minutes shorter though.

Lots of faces I recognised in that, including the weird looking woman from High Fidelity.

I guess that would be Danish actress Iben Hjejle?
