That was meant to imply that people over 30 would identify more with getting older and trying to hold onto things you could do when younger. It's just a good film really for anyone.

Just seen looking for eric. It was alright, have a nagging feeling it could have been better. The ending seemed a tad silly aswell

I will be taking my papa to see that off of fathers day!

Ooh also can I add reading to this - I read the damned united on holiday t'was much darker than the film but I enjoyed it - I also rather randomly read Ian Holloways autobiography!

Actually JFW strangely I too went to Greece a couple of weeks ago now and have written a letter of complaint as a result of a couple of cock ups, and had Marley and me as the film on the way back but no headphones issued so no sound only subtitles in Finnish !! I do think however that I was probably better off seeing it like that as it looked really dire.

I hope you had a nice time and your hotel was not situated on the end of the runway? Wink

Hotel was great, but had the outward bound flight time put back 2 hours only a couple of days before which resulted in us missing the last ferry to Skopelos that night and were put up in a shit hole in Skiathos. Also meant we missed a big chunk of the next day and when you only go for a week that's annoying.

Went for a dip as one does when it's in the lifeguarding blood and the sea was Fff...in freezing  Eek

Did you venture in ?

Totally, just can't clock off and I hate it too. Mind you over the years it's resulted in me pulling out a couple of non swimmers out of deep ends so it ups my Karma score.

Watched the hangover tonight. It was good! Made me laugh lots.

And on the subject of books, I bought Guillermo Del Toro's 'the strain' this week, if I get a spare hour or two over the weekend I intend to plow into it, and then steadily chip away at it during work Smiley

Watched The Happening.

Strangely, I managed to watch it from beginning to end without wanting to switch off and I can see what Shyamalan was trying to do but it's very, very poor.

As I've read elsewhere, the acting is indeed abysmal and the finale is rushed.

3/10.
