I've been shitting it every so often watching it now. Enjoying it immensely, and that's without any sort of nostalic feeling towards it, me not being born in '81 and all.

The main female love interest character keeps throwing me off, one minute she's miss independent lady and the next she most certainly knows her place. I guess I'm a bit modern.

The main character looks a bit like matey boy in Dead Mans Shoes. But I'm sure he looks like someone else more, I just can't put my finger on it.

There seems to be a lack of good pictures. I'll screen cap one later.

Oooh it might be 28 days later dude, although the opening in that is a bit of a triffidy nod anyway.

Finally saw Superbad yesterday. Promising start, a kind of Dazed and Confused meets American Pie. Tailed off badly after 45 minutes.

But at least I know who McLovin is now. Albeit nearly 2 years too late!

I want to watch Waltz With Bashir. Getting rave reviews so I'll probably think it's a load of hype but ok, but does look intriguing.

I watched Waltz With Bashir last night Si. It is really very good and I would really recommend it but also pretty traumatic in parts. I don't often sit still and in silence the whole way through the credits but this time I did.

I had a mega film weekend and watched:

The firm (not as good as the book)
The Bucket List
21
Se7en
What Lies Beneath

And I watched This Is England last night, seen it before but worth a second watch. I think I've got The Omen on my Sky+ too.

willis a fine actor and 16 blocks a good film - are you insane? i started to watch that film once, then mos def kept doing that stoopid voice and i got annoyed with the shitty plot and turned it off.

I had a mega film weekend and watched:

Is that the one with tom cruise, he gets into a big law firm but its all a bit dodgy? i saw it a while ago and thought it was really good.

I've just finished reading Factotum by Charles Bukowski, and am now about to watch the film. Would definitely recommend Post Office and Factotum if anyone is on the lookout for good books, he is a big drinker and gets up to all kinds. his writing is hilarious. I am going to watch the film in an appropriate mood: with a whiskey and a smoke.
