Watched Bridge of Spies last night. Very enjoyable (historical inaccuracies aside). Both male leads were really good.

I thought the same thing about Harry Potter. I feel like I've entered some kind of support group Never read or watched any Harry Potter either - no inclination to either. I do like Star Wars though! Going tomorrow night for my hubbies birthday present.

Do they still do cheap days at the cinema and can you reserve seats or are they first come first served?
Forgive my ignorance but it's been years since I last went to the pictures

Don't even think about it. It will drive you mad. 2 foot buckets of popcorn, kids snap chatting, people talking. I'll never go again #grumpyandproud # fuckoffyoumorons

Semi spoiler alert
Did you think it was pretty similar to 'Star Wars Epi 1' story line in places?

Haha. This is me usually but for this I can make exceptions. Yeah, I'm going Tues (Empire) only because it's cheap night, gonna book tickets over the weekend though Looks to be £5.50 each (3D)

Do you mean Episode IV (A New Hope)? The trilogy is surely going to follow the same broad plot anyway. Film 1; good guys on top. Film 2; bad guys fight back. Film 3; epic battle, good guys win.

Mad Max. (The new one)
Piss poor plot. Wooden acting. Ridiculous characters. Shamelessly over the top effects and props. Blatant abuse of sex as a selling point. Confusion at just what the fuck is going on......
Loved it. Escapism at its best.

star wars wasn't a turkey, much more what I like than the prequels were. I'll have to start a spoilers thread to say any more!
agree with fh about mad Max, but found the lack of plot disappointing even if the action was good.
