Earning some brownie points by taking the other half's kids to watch the new turtles film later.

Obviously I'm pretending its a sacrafice I'm making when in reality I wanted to see it as I loved the original when I was a kid.

But this one's by Michael Bay.

It won't be good.

I quite enjoyed it. But then I allow my nostalgia to make me biased.

Also went to see Ghostbusters at Cineworld on Tuesday, one of their 'Take 2' screenings. £11 got us tickets, two small soft drinks and a regular popcorn. A bloody good deal I thought, given the regular cost of the cinema.

Everything I've heard about it is good.

Slightly disappointing it's not a feature length Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, but hey, I'm sure it's brilliant nevertheless.

Saw Whiplash & American Sniper recently...

Both very good, both for different reasons.

Watched Gone Girl last night.

It was quite good and intriguing for the first hour or so, and then just got so beyond the realms of reality that the ridiculous levels were off the scale.

I concur, the second half of the film was laughable

I found the narrative really irritating in the first half of the film. The ending was totally bonkers.
