I watched it last night. It started with so much promise, but very quickly turned into "Fuck yeah! 'MURICA!" instead of trying to expand on the back story and legend of Godzilla which was quickly glossed over.

I watched some film on Film4 last night with Nicholas Cage. His son was handed a letter from a time capsule buried 50 years before. It contained a letter with numbers all over it. Cage worked out it predicted a series of dates that tragedies would occur and number of deaths that would occur in the tragedy.
It wasn't very good, but credit where it is due for the most un-Hollywood ending I've seen!

haha, I have seen that twice, I can't remember what it is called or how it ends! Cage is in some utter shite isn't he? Actually, I watched a fairly interesting film with him in recently based on a true story in Alaska. Again, the name escapes me but I'm sure a look at his WIKI page will reveal all! |

Talking of un-Hollywood endings, I saw the most-Hollywood ending a while back and forgot to mention it anywhere. I remember the Butterfly Effect being a really good film with a good, decently thought provoking ending. Well, some time back I watched it again - it might've been channel 4, but I forget. What I watched was the same film, but with what I can only describe as the most warm and cuddly ending to that film one could possibly conceive. I was sickened such a pathetic ending even existed to be honest. |

Ooh I've only ever watched the Directors Cut version, it always confuses me when films have variable endings. Watched Southland Tales on recommendation and the ending was dire, then turned out I'd watched the theatrical version when the recommendation was from the Directors cut. Couldn't face watching it all again. |

Just seen this footage from 9/11 for the first time. Not a film as such, but didn't know where else to put it. Absolutely mindblowing, if you have half-an-hour to spare.
