Watched 127 Hours last night - not as dull and thought it would be and very well done. The bit where he severed his arm, especially the nerve had me looking away - but I am quite squeamish.  Head Hurts

I watched Tintin the other night, which I really enjoyed. Considering getting the boxset they're doing in HMV at the moment as it's only a tenner.

The Pirate Captain in an adventure with scientists today.  Good stuff.  Not up to the aardman of curse of the were rabbit but enjoyable all the same.

I watched Avatar the other night and, whilst I can appreciate the CGI, was disappointed in the actual story.  Seemed to be 2+ hours of building up to a 20 minute battle set piece.

Since then I've heard there's a second and third film planned which makes a lot more sense as it seemed like all this did was set a picture.

Avatar in the cinema in 3d had me absolutely captivated. I watched it again on standard Blu Ray and was bored pretty quickly. I'm shallow.
