Watched a couple films over the weekend.
American Sniper: Decent enough but felt it ended a bit abruptly
Last Vegas: Star studded cast so you expect good things, and it didn't disappoint. I want to go to Vegas when i'm 70.

Have you seen Kajaki? British film and well worth a look.

Just watched Hope and Glory, quite an oldie now (1987), I missed it at the time, but thought it was brilliant.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093209/

Produced and directed by John Boorman, same bloke who made that documentary about the Town in the early 60s.

Watched the new Mad Max film yesterday. Never been a big fan of any of them but this was utter shite.

Cannot see how it gets such a high rating - all CGI and no substance.

I see the trailer for the new Ghostbusters film is out.

Looks absolute shit, what an abomination.

Fucking knew the black one would say "oh hell no...".

Other than that, meh. The first bit of the trailer wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Then from the middle bit I realised this was a blatant rip off re-telling of the original. Then the end bit made me realise it probably was going to be shit.

If it's an homage to the orginal, I'm not too offended. I really like the casting of Wiig and McKinnon.

It was only a matter of time before they revisited Ghostbusters because as a concept it's fucking great fun. Any hope of the original cast reappearing for a third film died with Harold Ramis.

In conclusion: If it's shit, it won't come close to tarnishing the brilliance of Ackroyd, Murray, Ramis....................... and Hudson.

Got round to watching Predestination tonight after having it highly recommended to me by some workmates... The ending was telegraphed from the get-go, I think I called each stage of it after about 20 minutes... it was an interesting tale but don't understand the high plaudits from colleagues! Any of you guys seen it?

It was predictable and I wouldn't exactly give it greatest acclaim but it was certainly enjoyable.

I watched The Revenant last night which was far more boring than I would have expected and had a far too long run time.

With you on both of those. Don't get the fuss over the Revenant at all, it's a 7/10 max for me.

I watched the 'new' point break. What a load of tosh. Utter garbage. No way near as good as the old one.

I think it was shot beautifully, the scenery, the directing and the whole cinematography aspect etc is amazing but yea I agree it's drags quite a bit with an averagely interesting storyline

Well I enjoyed The Martian, even though it did get a bit cheesy at the end. Apollo 13 meets The Castaway, just without Tom Hanks.
