Oh my god WHAT a film - so moving
Right up my street - anything similar you can recommend?

Because I've moved I use Blockbuster in Melksham now & it's truley terrible - they've never even watched the films!!! I got so used to going into Nam & asking for help & advice & getting it I think I took it for granted!!

Try the Shane Meadows films, all set in England and all quite grimey. In order of goodness:

Dead Man's Shoes
A Room For Romeo Brass
This Is England
Twenty Four Seven
Once Upon A Time In The Midlands
Somers Town

'Fish Tank' might be what you're looking for too. And 'Ratcatcher'.

I watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes today, it was surprisingly decent.

Watched the Rum Diary last night, thought it was shite. Have In Time downloaded as the idea sounds decent, not sure if it'll actually be any good though...

Dead mans shoes is awesome.

I watched Bronson yesterday which i thought was superb, Tom Hardy did a great job. Also watched Sherlock Holmes, but due to getting quite intoxicated the previous night i kept dozing off so missed most of it.

It's Kind Of A Funny Story - a bit soppy but quite good.

X-Men First Class - turned it off after half an hour. Did have Oxford in it.

The Fighter - Bale was brilliant.

Hunger Games - its got Woody Harrleson and some fit bird in it. Think the Truman Show crossed with Battle Royale. I enjoyed it, but it would have been even better if they'd pushed the boat out and made it worthy of a 15 certificate.

I enjoyed it as well.  But found it quite a disturbing film.  Couldn't quite understand how they would let 12 year olds in to watch it.  A 15 certificate would have seemed about right.

Watch out for the sequel(s).

Watched both Columbiana and The Vow over the last couple of days.  Both were pretty enjoyable even though the latter is a bit of a chick flick.   :gay:

When they went to eat the berries at the end I was thinking that there better not be too many impressionable 12/13 year old couples going to see this.

I watched the Guard the other day, it was brilliant it had Brendan Gleeson, Don Cheedle & Liam Cunningham in it. It is funny and has the right amount of action in it as well. I would recommend it to anyone. Also watched Killer Elite with Jason Statham & Robert De Niro in it. it was ok but the ending was a bit crap. It was based on the book the feathermen by Ranulph Fieenes.
