my workmate and his family live in covingham, after last july's floods their house was gutted, its taken until now to get it all dried out, all the electrics replaced, carpets replaced etc etc, both he and his wife work at dorcan and both got called away fairly early this afternoon :S we've not heard anything yet but it would defo seem they've been flooded again. they were due to move back in next monday. Thats a bit unlucky if they were, as you know (or may not) I live in Covingham and it hasnt been nearly half as bad as it was last time. Our garden was a little flooded at about half one, but it seemed to peak there. None of the roads are flooded, last july all the roads in/out of Covingham were shut. If you're that desperate to know....I can could always take a walk tomorrow and see if their area is flood, but I would doubt it to be honest

it's not as bad as it was last year yet because we haven't had as much rain leading up to it. if we have another day of heavy rainfall in the next few days then we're fucked.
i went into o*ford tonight and the roads were shitty. random closures, moronic drivers...funtime.
i just drove through the village and the fire service are out in force pumping water away from some of the houses that got flooded last july. they must be touching cloth

Just passed them on the way home and there's nothing there, not a burst drain sight. Useless BBC. At about 3.50 yesterday one of the bridges was totally flooded - you would think they would do some work to stop it getting flooded every time we have rain

The fire brigagde had to pump the water away! It took me nearly an hour to get home because everyone was panic going home. :|

It didn't rain that badly yesterday did it? I didn't notice.
Anyway, it's nice and sunny today. All's good in the world.
I might go back to bed.

How the fuck did he get there in the first place, one can only assume he was messing about with his mates. Yes it's sad etc etc but the stupidity of some people beggars belief.
