Or we can discuss a player who has just signed on a forum (after all thats the point isnt it?) based upon how and in which position he has played previously.

Just a thought.

How do you pronounce it so we get it right when we slag him off?

Always a fun one for me when people open up a football forum and see football discussion on it and are somehow surprised by it.

He's now played roughly 70 minutes I think, how does the new lad look?

The only firm conclusion so far is that he looks a lot taller than his Wiki height of 5ft 9in.

Couple of instances of quick feet with the ball on Monday, but otherwise pretty much anonymous like everyone else.

Interesting to see what he's like if he gets through a full pre season, assuming that he'll still be here.

I don’t think we can judge him at all until next season (if he stays of course). These games are just about getting his fitness up.

The lad is clearly talented, having played in the Championship and having signed a long term deal with Rangers. He could be a real asset next season, if we can get some decent players around him. Knowing Swindon, he’ll get his fitness levels back up and then sign for a League One club in the summer

We were in for Cole Stockton in January

We chose Drinan instead according to Gunning

Not being a cynic here but i would imagine Stockton turned us down!

Absolutely, it was said that Stockton wanted to move back to the North West anyway too as he never settled in the midlands.

He looks ok, but for me he cant play in the same team as Austin from what I have seen of them so far.

I’d put it like this, Austin can’t play in the same team as Drinan I.e Austin is a drag anchor on the team imo

If it's Austin v Drinan it's a no contest.

At least Drinan can press, run channels etc.

It has not been released (again) his contract length
