Hattrick vs Newport here, also scored another goal in the PJT for Norwich.

Very highly rated by Norwich, quick with a decent finish on him, not a big lump striker though.

The long ranger curler into the top corner is sublime.

Seeing as were far more direct in our play now than we were at the beginning of the season we desperately need a target man. He doesn't even need to be a huge goalscorer just someone who can hold the ball up and bring others into play.

You say that but he’s out his hands in his pocket to keep the club going through the pandemic and strengthen the squad this window to the point we have 8 CB’s on the books.. Yet you criticise how little money has been invested? Shortsighted and clueless comment frankly.
Indeed, this is another reflection of the impact the pandemic has had.

We saw last January (and arguably with the defensive recruitment in recent weeks) that Power will put his hand in his pocket as much as possible - some fans have short memories unfortunately.

He's probably better off st a league 2 club as we've found this season the step up to league one is big and we need players that are ready now
I can think of plenty of examples of youngsters going out to League 1 for their first move and hitting the ground running - we have had a few down the years including arguably Matt Smith this season.

Pitman has experience and a decent goal scoring record to back it up... I would suggest we just have to have faith that whoever comes in will be what the team needs now, not just that they have a good Wikipedia page.

More probably, Power is putting his hand in somebody else’s pocket. No way he’s forking out if he’s gone in a matter of weeks.

Bring him home!

If we do indeed sign him back then it must mean Baudry, Grounds, Fryers (out for the season) and Broadbent will all leave.

We probably made a bid before we signed Masterson on loan.

I agree with Matty Smith as he's been our best player but struggling to think of many 18 year olds without league experience who have joined league one relegation teams and been a success and scored lots of goals but maybe he could be the exception.

According to the Football Oracle via Twitter Luton have made Swindon an offer for Mr. Twine which has unsurprisingly been turned down.

Never league 1 quality. I remember when he played against us for Hereford after Di Canio let him go and he just spent the whole game trying and failing to kick our players.

I think its telling that an ex player gets linked to us and is instantly written off as he didn't look too good in his first spell with us, with Evans a spell that was 10 years ago who has since played 320+ games at professional level, even if its a low level.

Players can indeed get better after leaving Swindon, who would have thought we would welcome back Twine when he went out on loan at the start of the season or even Billy Bodin or even Ben Tozer, both if which didn't really look that good before they left us but most fans would want them back again now.

A lot of water under the bridge since he left.

Typical Swindon fans writing off potential new signings without knowing anything about them other than too young, too old, used to be rubbish, not good enough goal rate etc etc.

Lets back them and see how they play over a few games before we write them off.
