Another midfielder?
It would seem so, not a player I have seen play but going by comments on the Imps forum, hes about National league level, Oxford also after him, turned down a new lower contract. Is a ball playing centre midfielder who is not keen on getting stuck in and tackling.

Quote
Thats exactly how I saw him, decent on the ball but lacks a defensive and tackling instinct.
always seemed to be that split second behind in his anticipation.

one of Ellises problems he doesn't put himself about enough, umlike Joe Morrell, I think Ellis seemed to shy away from 50/50 balls.

The Lincoln forum overall don't seem too fussed about losing him. There's potential there though, apparently. Good on the ball but doesn't have much defensively.

In Wellens we trust.

Absolutely, he would have been scouted thoroughly and potential seen, probably not one for the near future if he does sign, like McGilp and Curran.

A mate on Facebook got a snap with Yates and Grant today, could be some good news tomorrow.

Baudry signed a while ago, Wellens confirmed this when he mentioned Lyden signing a new deal.

It's an easy formula to follow...

----

Quotes attributed to and/or interview with RW by working journalist

Then

RUMOUR ACCOUNT (NOT SO) HOT TAKE

Then either

Correct: 'Tick emoji'

Incorrect: 'Delayed by a few days'

Repeat.

Nixon - BOLTON. Best current offer for Eoin Doyle. SWINDON toiling to match money. MANSFIELD and SALFORD also trailing on this one.

Evatt would know Doyle from their time at Chesterfield I guess.

Would be good if he stayed with us but maybe the priority should be to check for any stray piggy banks in the club and try and secure Yates.

Good luck to Doyle, yes I would welcome him back but if he can get a similar deal at Bolton with less travelling then fair play to him, he leaves with my best wishes.

He has to look after his own future and family, more time with his wife and kids and probably similar wages as we can offer.

There are bigger better targets out there such as Yates and a few others I have heard linked, each as good as Yates and better long term prospects than Doyle.

If you do leave then so long Ginger Pele and thanks for the goals and great memories, you will never be forgotten in Town folklore.

Also we won't have to face him next season if he stays in L2, a definate bonus.

I don't think Yates is at the level of Doyle yet. But you did say long term, and if he continues where he left off he's certainly a going to be worth something in the future.

Then again there's no guarantees Doyle will be at the level of Doyle next season.

This is my makor concern regarding Doyle signing on high wages, he wasn't the same player after coming back from Bradford, this could easily continue.

How the fucking fuck can Sunderland sign any new players with the wages they are commited to already?

If the wage cap comes in at the expected 」2.5m then surely they must be 4 or 5 times over that already, what with paying Grigg an estimated 」20k pw thats 」1m out of the budget before any other player is taken into account!
