Turnbull was awful in the relegation season and every time he’s played against us since has looked like a liability and acted like a bit of a twat. I’d rather we steer well clear to be honest.

If Richie thinks he is the right player, then sign him up. We all saw how good he could be in his initial spell.

I don't think we would prioritise another CB unless it was on loan anyway with Broadbent, Conroy, Baudry and Fryers and with Curran on our books.

There’s no suggestion Wellens does want him though, it’s just some crap Twitter account. The last player Wellens will go for is a Centre back from a long ball team IMO.

I've never been that bothered by Turnbull during his time there

That said, difficult time to be here.

Given Conroy, Fryers and Baudry's recent injury record and question marks over Broadbent's ability at L1 I think we need another CB.

Richie Wellens watches players relentlessly but if we're going after Jordan Turnbull I would wonder who's driving that transfer.

I heard that he was desperate to join Swindon Town prior to his Northampton move.

Jordan Turnbull is a good defender with a good player next to him. Was superb with Stephens next to him, crap after.
Someone like Baudry would probably help him. Won’t happen tho. Already have Conroy and Baudry for next year:

Jack Stephens was excellent for Southampton on Friday, he’s come on leaps and bounds since our loan spell whereas Turnbull has gone backwards a bit!

Stephens was always the more naturally talented of the 2 players with better tackling and passing skills.

Turnbull looked really good at times and really poor at other times, I wouldn't want him back now.

Having watched most of the Cobblers vs Numb the only players that I wouldn't mind seeing in a Town shirt from that game were Hussey (who had a bit of a fall out with fans before leaving) and midfielder Jake Doyle-Hayes who is released by Villa and is on loan at 'Numb.

In the other game only both right wingers, Kwame Poku from Colchester and Rendell Williams from Exeter showed any level of ability.

Every other player on show in both L2 play offs wouldn't get anywhere near our side.
