People on Twitter shouting “where has the money gone” Reminds me of those on South Park “they took our jerbs”
Despite the fact that Power has just said "the money is there for the transfers" the players though are not available.

I heard that too, dead in the water.
True but don't a lot of Chairman say stuff like that? Kind of the reverse "vote of confidence" when about to sack a manager. In fact, I recall Fitton saying the same about the Austin deal being "dead".

Wellens said on the radio that Yates was promised by Warne to be back with us next week.

Wellens said he has 6 names in his head, and wants to sign 4 of them. With a CB and CM being 2 of them. So I’m guessing this week could look something like:
A new CB A new CM Yates 1 of Doyle/Grigg/Pitman

Boo saying Amond if we can't get Doyle. Hmm. Nearly 32, would require a fee, pretty average scoring record.... Not sure.

Thought Doyle was a no-no now. If we’re going to spend a fee on a player, surely it needs to be someone with a resale value further down the line.
Boo reckons Doyle is faltering because of his goal bonus - presumably that’s what Bradford want rather than what Doyle gets. Although that would mean Doyle on loan.

Its a no from me, never impressed me in his 7 games vs us, he has scored in 2 of those but he lack quality in the box from what I have seen but a 1 in 3 record is up there with Doyle pre Swindon. He is also Oirish so fits that bill too I guess. Would certainly cost a fee which for a near 32 year old would probably be more than he is actually worth as newport know we need a striker.

If Wellens was after a massive target man then yes he would be top of the list, not sure he has the on the floor skills Wellens wants from a striker though.

On the floor skills. A very, very key element going forward. If anyone is coming in on a permanent contract they need to be able to play in league 1 comfortably. The route one brick shit house type player has impact than league 2 IMHO.
