Oh that rumour. I don't think we can afford his wages.
Tbh, I don’t think wages are a major issue. Sunderland want him out the door - big time. Prepared to carry on paying a large chunk of his wages.

TBF Grigg would be an excellent signing for L2, at least on a par with Doyle for quality. Better scoring record than McNulty too.

Not wanted by Sunderland who are pretty desperate to get rid of him, if they pick up most of his wages and he scored a shedful for us then they can sell him to recoup some of the £4m they paid Wigan for him last year.

Its a no brainer for Sunderland really, scores lots they can sell him for a decent fee, if he doesn't score lots then we are still paying a fair percentage of his wages rather than him sitting on the bench and not playing there.

Sunderland would be mental to loan him to a rival (sounds familiar) and Salford the other club mentioned have just signed a metric shit ton of strikers already this window and they have zero chance of promotion IMO, come to us and help us win the league.

Didn’t mean it in that way. Just that whoever put it out there probably knows no more than the average Joe.

Still not buying these linked (Pitman, McNulty, Grigg).

The rumour account buying into it only solidifies that belief.

Grigg does legitimately seem to be target #1. On paper a good signing, but I'd still rather have Doyle. Can Bradford take Grigg instead?

Having thought about the advantages to Sunderland of us getting plenty of goals out of Grigg, I was just about to type exactly what you said Venks, so thanks for saving me the trouble  Smiley

Alan Nixon has great contacts and I believe he got the information from the right people.

Transfer window is a game. With no proof, I reckon Swindon are playing it.

Welcome Smiley it does make sense but there is an element of me that agrees with Constanza, its all a smokescreen, that is unless we are signing Grigg and Doyle Wink

Yeah three possible 20 goal strikers in one season. Pallet of paracetamol and razors blades just in case.

Pele, if you are reading, we’re not ready to move on, and would have you over Grigg in a heartbeat.
