Oldham apparently making a bid for him, so being they are in the same division then no reason he wouldn't consider coming to us if we were actually after him.

Oldham are this season痴 basket case. French Manager, Moroccan(?) owner, influx of foreign kick-a-balls.

No way Clough is going there.

Dunno, hes not wanted at Nottm Florists, didn't do well at Rochdale on loan last season and has never lived up the the hype before his transfer away from Bolton.

Funny things happen in football to players that have lost their way.

Hes still 24 and has the talent, maybe he just needs a fresh start lower down the leagues, like Zeki Fryers.

He is tiny, though - in height and build. Makes Twine look like Arnie.

He is very slight in stature, reminds me of that irish lad Jordan Stewart we had for a year.

Not sure he would be up to it physically, but we won't know until he tries I guess.

Seems to be doing OK at Linfield now, 7 goals in 32 games.

Stewart was a cracking talent who just didn't want to be in England he wanted to be close to his parents geographically, which is what he now has. He still scores some lovely goals.

His goal at QPR a few years ago in the cup was a thing of beauty

It sure was. We were right behind it. Brophy scored a good goal in that game as well didn't he?

Shame it didn't work out for the Irish Messi.

Expectations today?

Striker has to be one of - Doyle, Clough, Lavery or Hylton surely. Be chuffed with any of them. Or is Clough more of an attacking midfielder, a la Bennett?

No doubt Reg will be expecting Oleg McNoleg.

No expectations today.  Hopefully in the next couple of days we will sign a couple of attacking players.

Would like 3 of those 4 players but dont rate Lavery at all, hes a quick striker but not a goal scorer and had a stinker vs us last time, he was all fouls and elbows.

Any of the other players mentioned would be exactly what we need. Wouldnt rule out Pitman either.
