I’m not sure a short loan spell would make Nelson blinkered enough to believe we were the only option to progress his career. He had a decent enough loan spell, and other clubs will be aware, so all it takes is for someone to offer a nominal sum that’s more than we offer.
I don't think it is blinkering at all. The difference being he is pretty much a guaranteed starter here in a set up he knows. On the nominal sum part, not quite...of course, Millwall can accept the offer but by no means does it mean the player (Sid) will accept terms. Sid seems like a player who wants to play and not be sat on a bench at best. We shall see in time, I'm sure. Well about 9 days in fact. |

Let’s hope he does. If he does though, and even if he rolls out the “I knew this was the right place” line that is fed to him, I’m fairly certain the sentiment would be the same if he is holding a Wycombe, Colchester, Yeovil, Forest Green or Mansfield scarf above his head. |
