And then appoint another coach? Nah dont think so.

The physio guy needs a decent haircut though

True, Wellens must just want to install his own people then

I must admit I quite liked Mark Marshall, he had bags of pace and loads of trickery, has had a topsy turvy career since then playing at lower and higher levels and with the ban for drugs while at Barnet.

Hes similar to McGlashan though, a speedy tricky winger with little end product.

Surprised to see hes still only 31.

I'm sure that said 29. Is this linked to the Koiki thing?  Wink

Very quick edit.

Wellens also said today that Kioki may be with us next season as well on a season long loan

Awaits reg and his stats

Well Lifter did 09/10 which was a good season, but had GG to work with on defending, 10/11 was horrible while he lasted, but did lose Greer and then Morrison.  However as we'll likely have kids at the back if he can disseminate some knowledge into them then all wellen good.

Take the second Lincoln goal on Sat as an example... does Conroy try and keep it in play as that's what he's been told to do, despite not playing the way he's facing, or is it just his instinct rather than just hoofing it into touch. Presumably Lifter would advocate row Z.

Mark Marshall was crap for us.

He’s done alright for himself

Although him & Macklin on either wing for the reserves were lethal about 11-12 years ago.

A higher earner from last season, so to speak so now opens the door for an imminent incoming I would say. Don't think we'll see Robbo again. Well only to pick up his framed pictures.

Cost cutting maybe?
Dunno, we look a lot fitter (and smarter?) since Wellens and Hunt arrived

He showed enough promise and has done alright for himself since. Hard for him to break into that side back then though and weren't we his first league club?

From memory... isn't Shirtliff supposed to be a dab-hand at defensive coaching?
Yes he was.

Peter Shirtliff has been working as scout for Charlton until recently, perhaps his signing is behind the Mark Marshall rumour.

I'm sure we are paying a large chunk of his wages still though

Scouting players when they're already at the club might explain why he's left that role...
