It seems to have gone very quiet about bringing in new players -Brown did say he had a list of players he would like to bring in when the freebie windows opening but there appears to be nothing doing.
I would hate to think what would happen if we had an injury or suspension in defence...oh wait a minute  Smiley

Still keen on the Irish duo of Kieran Sadlier and Shane Griffin. Sadlier looks very unlikely due to the other interest.....https://www.thesun.ie/sport/football/3349934/cork-city-ace-kieran-sadlier-will-make-a-decision-on-his-future-later-this-month-with-clubs-in-england-and-ireland-interested/

Sadlier to be signed by Donny, apparently. Along with McCloughlin.

Have Waterford got anyone decent?

Couldn't really say but the obvious striker link (as has been mentioned a fair bit) would be, Courtney Duffus. Was on loan at Waterford (Noel Whelan will know about him) and of course was managed by Wellens at Oldham. Be interesting if we did make a bid for him in January. He's clearly got something about him. Prolific while on loan at Waterford, just seems like he hasn't managed to break in at Oldham? With him being from this neck of the woods maybe a move back here seems quite possible. Question being though - Is he any better than what we have already?

With his contract up at the end of the season...will we aim to extend Lawrence Vigouroux's contract by a year or sell him in Jan?

Whilst scouting "the net" for any info I found this nugget. Never realised he came through the Spurs Football Foundation (education 1st, football 2nd). I ignorantly thought we just scouted him from Liverpool. I guess Tactics was ITK for this one?

So essentially if someone tables a decent enough (break even or higher) figure in Jan, he'll likely be off. Especially if it comes from a L1 club.

Shane Griffin is a target from Cork. Out of contract, 24+ so no compo, left back, ex-Reading. Fits the profile.

Apparently a decent left back with a bit of pace can also fit in at CB if needed. Sounds exactly what we need and still only 24.

Came through the youth system at Reading but didn't make an appearance in the first team, played 4 games for Eire at U21. It could depend on whether he wants to leave his home town club and if he fancies playing in europe with them next season.

Why would he want to play in Europe, when he has a real chance of a div 2 playoff winners medal with the town.

He might well do, but what about Noel Hunt? Cool

Yup, meant Hunt. Don't know where I extracted Whelan from!
