Hardly an experienced defender. Another Romanski
Ipswich fans seem to rate him highly.

But he’s not the experienced, commanding CB Brown has been banging on about. He may well be brilliant but, on the surface, he’s the exact opposite of what Brown says we need.

Done deal according to their forum, and they're not happy about it.

Right sided centre back, quick and good in the air strong and brave, only 19 and 6 foot 3.

Having primarily been used as a right-back, Woolfenden – who is both tall and quick – says he sees centre-back as his best position long-term.

Where the TEF leads...

Interesting that it's season-long. Their forum indicated till Jan. Now amended to full season.

seems like he was on the edge of the first team towards the end of last season.  Lets see how he shapes up, provides possible cover to Knoyle as well - guessing Dunne has lost some respect from the Manager!

He’s incredibly composed for such a young defender. He’s athletic and reasonably strong in the air. He’ll need an experienced head alongside him but I honestly believe he’ll be fantastic in League 2. There have been calls this end for him to start when fit. Great signing 👍

I've registered for Bromley's forum to see what they have to say, need to wait to be activated etc.

Ipswich fans seem a bit disappointed that they signed a defender on loan from Everton who has 7 Premier league games and 80 1st team games and let Woolfenden go on loan to us. Several would have prefer him to stay and they not sign the Everton chap who is nearly 24.

Sounds promising, even if it isn't exactly the type of player that PB insisted he would be after.

Played 17 times for Bromley last season, so he's had some early experience of up and at em standard of football.  One appearance this season and 3 or 4 last season for Ipswich.  Likely to have a bit more about him than Romanski.

Good work Froggy, it is important that the TEF gets the stories before the mainstream media.

Luke Woolfenden is joining Swindon Town on a season-long loan deal.

The defender has impressed during his outings in the Ipswich Town first team but Paul Hurst believes his development is best served with a loan deal to the League Two Robins.

Hurst revealed this week that a number of clubs had been in contact regarding Woolfenden, who has returned quicker than expected from a knee injury suffered in the draw with Blackburn Rovers on the opening day.

“I have to say, I think credit to the medical staff and also credit to the player himself, he made a speedier recovery than we first thought or feared,” Hurst said.

“He’s one that we’ve had a quite a bit of interest in on the loan front but as we stand, I’m sure you’d all agree, it would be foolish to allow someone like that out if we haven’t got another defender in the building with us.

“But I think it was pleasing to see him out there, especially when we thought it might have been another three weeks or so.

“He’s a young lad, hopefully he he doesn’t get injured anyway, but if he does he’s shown that he’s quite a quick healer.”
