How do you know that deals are not close but then break down? I'm sure there are thousands of deals in business as a whole that are close but break down. No? or is this just exclusive to STFC?  Smiley
If my sales director kept telling me we were close to deals but they kept breaking down we would replace him with someone who could close the deals. It’s a competitive world out there. Get used to it or fail.

Hasn't he signed for Hamilton?

Yes, because signing football players is exactly the same as selling whatever it is you are selling. Great analogy, can't fault it.  Roll Eyes

Could it be a link up with a former manager?

Taking a bit of a hiding there, Wokingham.  You're right about closing though.

I failed.

Asked by my manager in a sales meeting what my sales by year end would be, I confidently predicted "GBP xyz,000".

"When would that be achieved?" he pressed.

Oh this Friday as it happens. I blithely re-assured

"Oh, how so?" he pressed

"I'm seeing the MD on Friday" I replied, now a tad defensively

"Does the MD know yet that he will be signing up this Friday", my manager continued.

Not yet, I crumbled No

Be prepared....

Brilliant!

May I volunteer the former Audrey to model for a new GIF like this if we sign both Ferdinand and Terry, who are both presently unattached?

Just had a look at the Southend forum and Ferdinand seems an odd one.

By all accounts, he had a blinding first season, with many attributing a turn around in form to his arrival. The next season, though, seems to have been quite the opposite for some reason.

A bit too much stick.

A deal or two collapsing is one thing but a lot of deals collapsing is an issue.

Here we are with fuck all when you can see from Space we are wank at the back.

Still time....please...
