They weren't interested last season when he played 30-odd games for Peterborough!

Gotta be lazy journalism, player scores 5 goals so higher teams must be interested despite 4 of those being penalties....

I like Doughty but he isnt Champ standard.

So with just over 3 days left until the 5pm deadline on 31st August will we sign any new signings? PB seems, understandably, to want to sign players that will play a major role in the team rather than getting numbers in for the sake of it.

I still hope that we will sign 1 left back, 1 centre back and 1 striker.

Not entirely sure we will but there may be a late flourish of activity accross the divisions with numerous loans taking place.

Crystal Palace have the right idea....

Except for the bit about wanting lower league clubs to become feeder clubs.

Probably only 2 or 3 away from having a squad that comes close to matching the best in the division so I'd be frustrated if we didn't bring a couple more in. Equally I think we could scrape through to January and be okay but would be asking a lot of certain players...Matty Taylor for one.

Hopefully Woolery is close to getting back into contention. Forgotten man so far this season.

Woolery could be lethal in this set up, in off the left in place of Mcglashan, who's not really doing it for me right now.

Weren't we linked with a Palace CB?

Aside from the fact McGlashan plays on the right and Anderson as the slot on the left, sort of.

There was a point early last season where I thought he'd come good, after a couple of promising performances when we changed formation I think.  It didn't work out.  You have to hope he improves this year, if so, it will be like a new signing from where we are now though.

Brown's hopeful of a couple of defenders coming in.

This caught my eye, though:

Centre-half Dion Conroy also played, although he limped off the field after 30 minutes of play with a twinge to his knee, an area he also damaged when making his last first-team appearance against Lincoln City.

It's beginning to look like Conroy's broken.

Need a sharp Woolery back asap... I want him playing like he did v Crawley away last season but for 90 plus minutes.

Be like a new signing as others have aluded to.

It was mentioned last week that Bilel Mohsni was joining a Turkish side. Nothing has actually happened, though. Turnbull looks likely.

Still need cover for Adebayo

Remind me.

Why would Turnbull be a disastrous signing?

I've read some very negative stuff.

On the basis nobody has seen him play with a bloodied bandage. Or he hasn’t got a skinhead, or something.

Would be good in my book. I’d prefer a Greer-type, but so would lots of clubs.
