According to Brown, we got a 6 figure fee for Norris and the club have tried to get Adebayo on a permanent. May happen in January.
Can't believe we got over £100,000 for Doris.

- Talking to clubs re defender, no "yes" yet
- Confirms he is close to budget limit, says (by example) that if he brings in another striker he wouldn't be able to afford a defender.
- Mentions bringing in a #5 or someone to help the #5 and #6..
- We have three points, but we've conceded 6, looking for clean sheet mentality...doesn't feel our campaign has started.
Cuts off then...
Obviously you could say this means nothing, and you are probably right.

Obviously you could say this means nothing, and you are probably right.
Nothing there that wasn't pretty obvious looking on at the pre-season and first week of the season. I do have a certain sympathy that PB is working with a reduced budgie, and having 4 centre halves, 3 of whom are dodgy on injuries and 1 a kid who's probably not ready. I'd have more sympathy still if he'd seemingly spunked the centre half fund on a decent looking Norris/Mullin replacement, but we've instead got a loan Harry Smith replacement. The money seems to have gone on a couple of midfielders, who should be good enough for Div 4, but in the case of Diagouraga looks a bit Nalis. |
