Aren't PB and Power meant to be having an end of season meeting tomorrow? Even if they did, there would probably be not much reporting of it. Even considering what may hinge on it. Then again this is STFC and comms isn't always the greatest. Also ASD will likely already be on a plane to America as he looks to explore a career in sports journalism across the pond...

Wordsworth was tempted by rumours that Shelley Rudman was being brought in next season as consultant personal fitness trainer.....
Presumably the lure of Walsall was due to Craig Shakespeare making his name there as a player.

Both ex Southend both midfielders, I aluded to Wordsworth in another thread about poets but I would be happy with either or both.

They've both played their football above League Two consistently in their careers, and both have Championship experience. Look like good signings on paper.

Both have had their moments and still both about at their prime at 28 and 29.

Wordsworth is a box to box midfielder and Wright is a playmaker, both of which we are lacking and obviously know PB, Wordsworth played for him for 2 years and Wright for 1 year.

Mark Yeates is probably available. 33 now, but played most of Eastleigh's games last season.

Maybe we need to find an up and coming non league player called Mayall to complete the set.

Both players blighted by injuries at Sarfend, although Wordsworth did manage 19 goals in 71 games which aint to be sniffed at. Here's Wright's twitter farewell

'joshwright4444I can confirm I will be leaving @sufcrootshall I could focus on why and how this happened but what痴 the point. What I will say is in what ended up to be quite a short time at a proper football club, I can honestly say I had a very enjoyable few months before an injury set me back and played a big part in my time coming to an end at the shrimpers prematurely. I met some great people who are now friends whether that be players, staff and of course the fans. I would like to thank Phil Brown and everyone else who played a part in bringing me to the club and again the players, staff and fans for making me feel so welcome from day one. Yes I am frustrated it has ended like this and yes I am annoyed you never got to see the best of me and in truth before the setback I was only just getting started but that痴 life and especially football. I will end by wishing the whole club good luck for the future and I am sure I will see you all again at some stage. I was very proud and privileged to play for the Shrimpers. Thank you'

Also Will Atkinson. Played under Brown initially at Hull, then at Southend.

Just released by the flippiest of floppers at Mansfield.

Has she played under Brown somewhere? Or is it just that they have the same skin tone?
