.....and goes straight into the "bad boys" X1 !

What's he done... I recall Justin Richards, another lower league journeyman getting into some Ben Stokes like bother.

I don't think having legs is much of an issue for the role he'll play, so should be fine.

Good point

Summit to do with boning the secretary whilst at Vale and while his wife was pregnant.

Hardly Nile Ranger league.

He was training with Coventry last week, too. Seems an ideal player to get us over the line, but going forward, if we get promoted we’ll have a shedload of contracted players who are way short of L1 standard.

True but if we get promoted i imagine they will be wanted elsewhere anyway.

Let's just worry about this season for now. The Powers that be (see what I did there?), can cross the next bridge when we come to it.

I've observed myself that The Potteries get the juices flowing.  Well I suppose if Giggs with his misdemeanours can get the job to represent his Principality, we can live with Marc.

Very true. The league table shows us there's little to choose between a dozen or so clubs, so getting out is going to be very difficult, and it's likely that the side with players who can step up will do it.

I think if we can sign Anderson permanently that gives us forward options of Norris, Richards, Anderson, Woolery and Mullin which you would think it pretty decent at league 2 level and should be enough to ensure at least a play-off berth.

So, does he play alongside Norris or instead of? Can’t see Woolery or Anderson being dropped to accommodate him.

Instead of eventually, but options too. Gives us the ability to go with 2 big men up front chasing games.

I'm not convinced Norris is an out-and-out striker anyway. Not sure where else I'd out him...

Agreed on the one or two target men option.  It appears to me that Richards sort of replaces Harry Smith in terms of role, notwithstanding age, permanence and doubtless other differences in style that will soon become apparent.
