Anybody know which flavour striker he is? Target man? Centre forward? Poacher? Something else?

Good signing, hopefully he can make a similar impact to Benson in 11/12. Proven at this level and whilst widely thought to be past it for League 1, if he can help get us over the line then it's job done and we replace in the summer.

Exactly. Horses for courses. Known quantity. Will score goals. Could be good for Woolery too.

Old school, big number 9 from recollection. Great foil for Woolery.

He's the highest scorer in L2 history apparently. I know he'll be beyond his prime now, but...

If he has got legs he will be a good signing.....looks like an old fashioned hit man up front.

Might get a season out of him.

Plenty more dogshit goals like Saturday will do.

There are a few strikers who go on a long time as it's an instinct thing. Chalkie was still knocking them in for Hereford and Cardiff aged 38/39.

Of course the legs go a bit, but it's then how you use the player. Aritz Aduriz is about 36 rising 37, still scoring for Bilbao, and has scored for Spain in latest WC qualifying campaign.

Aduriz rarely goes 90 mins, doesn't run around much, but goal hangs and niggles defenders. Bilbao have extended his contract.

So, it's possible he might be a decent signing, if he can score us say 8-10 goals before May.

looks a good addition to the squad/team on paper.

obviously he may be totally Nallis'ed, but let's assume he's ok for now!

I don't think having legs is much of an issue for the role he'll play, so should be fine.

That's what I was thinking/hoping. Sounds as though he won't be expected to do too much running.

I’m pretty certain he’s got legs. 18 month contract apparently.
