Chris O'Grady from a credible source. Played for DF at Barnsley and he's 31. Looks a target man and his strike rate is not great.

Rotherham also interested so could lose out

And at 31 not the usual Swindon target for all the "nay sayers" who think we will still only go after youngsters.

Must admit, looking at his previous clubs Rotherham for their geographical position and league status must be favourites.

He has just been released by Brighton though so maybe he doesn't want to go back up North? His record doesn't look great but he's played at some very different levels, his league 2 record is decent. I assume his time in league 2 at Rochdale was under Keith Hill while DF was assistant. He played at Bury with Futcher. Seems a lot of links there that could swing in our favour.

Flitcroft signed him for Barnsley as well.*

Could well happen.

Obika's strike isn't brilliant either. Must say I was surprised he has than 30 goals in the 3 years he's been with us.

Still a pivotal player, though.

Chesterfield have already signed two strikers, Gozie Ugwu and a young lad called Brewster from Everton.

I think Rotherham will be harder to fend off.

Hopefully O'Grady will look at the competition we have up front (none) and see he'll go straight into the starting 11.

First time I have been on the Total Swindon site for months, it really is just a step up from Google isn't it just reporting stories that other news outlets are reporting?

It is indeed, pretty poor but at least it covers Swindon I guess, not much proper coverage out there for us these days.

It does seem to just post whatever is out in the public domain, not even sure the chap that runs it is really a journo but just trawls around online for stories and passes them of sometimes as his sources.

May be doing a disservice but what us what it looks like at times, a poor mans adver
