Wouldn't surprise me with Power flog him for pennies to waterford buy him back at stfc for pounds

Shouldn't happen though from what I have seen on Smith he looks capable of playing in our team now with some of the crap we have playing

Doesn't really make Power any money though does it unless he is now being accused of some manner of money laundering?

Hmm, good point, I cant get my head around sending him to waterford though, surely it is not for football reasons - or even if he is not going to play here, keep him here with the aim of him being a regular next season

There is previous for signing players for non football reasons....

One of the great I was there moments, along with seeing Luke Norris and Shaun Close score at the CG.

I remember making a major effort to get to our first game ever in Div 4 .... sort of had to be done, and I daresay I'll do the same for the Conference.

Fucking bonkers if true. Yet another surreal moment in a surreal season. He needed to be given a chance here instead of being pushed further back in the pecking order by colkett and starkey.
Looked as though he had what it took but I suppose we'll never know. At least we've got top quality midfielders available.
I think I'm with drs.

Was that Blackpool away. If so, I was there too. We lost.

I cant understand why Colkett gets in the team ahead of Smith.

The fact both he and Evans have played their recent friendly matches does give it a bit more substance don't you think ?

May 2015, v Orient at the CG.  A bizarre game, multiple Belfords. I couldn't help but think a properly professional club wouldn't take the piss in such a fashion.  Basically it's been downhill since for both clubs, Orients demise perhaps swifter than ours.

Sorry, I meant first game in div 4. That orient game was a cracker.

Not really, it just gives more cause for rumour.

It'd be a pretty fucking weird/stupid move but it's not exactly comparable to the decision to sell Ritchie.

We'd all like to see him given a chance but he's still unproven and unlikely to improve us anywhere near enough.

Home to Burslem PV. Sunshine on the Bank, Paul Rideout nodded one in for a 1-0. Season started 28th August, this year a whole 3 weeks earlier, I'd cycled from the west coast of Ireland to make it, so worth it  Smiley

Possibly this:

"Waterford set to sign Tom Smith from Swindon." @LoI Transfers

Have no idea how reliable that account is.
