Last year we got in Adam El-Abd who would meet anyone's description of experienced. That would be evidence, no?

Fair point, short term loan.....but then no desire to sign on a longer contract, I'm sure he could have done a job for us the remainder of last and this season.

Although it was suggested his departure was Luke's doing....

From a Rovers fan

'Lovely footballer, the boy has skills.
Defensively hopeless and tactically naive. Physically lacking for league 1 at the moment but he's worth having just for the passing, vision and beautiful football stuff. Gutted he's going to you peasants, you won't appreciate him.'

I'd be quietly surprised if Feruz ends the season at the club. Never really settled anywhere since his big move to Chelsea which includes the occasional hissy fit.

I'm not writing him off but I would advise caution to anyone expecting a lot.

Happy for this to be his perfect move.

He wanted to stay and is the type of player we need at the back.
And before the inevitable moans about lack of experience... these signings do not prevent us from signing more players.

He's considered that good by Rodgers' Snr. that he was wanted for Celtic's first team?

Looks a cut above some of the signings we have made in the past.  Let's hope he can  that he can continue to show  these type of performances in a Swindon shirt.

Seems like it, that was back in the Summer.

Lets hope the "old pals act" works out well for us.

You can have 5 in the matchday squad, I am not sure if there is a limit now to the number of loans as I am sure some teams have 7 or 8 but the max from any one loaning club at any time is 4.

Islam Feruz must be one of the smallest Pro Footballers at just 5 foot 4, I dont remeber ever seeing him play in the past but he has always had a reputation for being a hot prospect.

Shrewsbury fans are not impressed by him at all and want him offloaded.
