Shut up with making sense. He's clearly Coventry's Michael Pook and we should be aiming higher. I just want to know where the Ajose funds have gone, because we can't survive on freebie leftovers like this tripe. I'm flexing my booing glands as I type.

I understand that the fans who watch Willy week in week out, reckon that he 's not all that and a bit injury prone. But seriously, I remember when we gave Gareth Whalley a 3 year deal.....on the surface seemed a plan as I'd actually heard of him.

Whalley was 31 when he signed for Town (I think it was a two year deal) and was already having a shaky couple of seasons before signing. Not sure if this is comparable. I'm not excited by Thomas' arrival or anything but it's not outrageous to welcome the occasional player who's got experience at this level. He may be shite. He may get injured. He may be good. It's a signing.

I know it says 2 years on Banyard's site, but I think he's wrong on this one. So the post is nothing to do if Conor may or may not be good, but more the unusual dishing of 3 years, as Steveg highlights. FWIW, I rarely judge a player in advance....unless is some absolute cunt, like a Leon Knight.

Haha. Quite. I vaguely remember Town having to negotiate Whalley's exit as opposed to releasing him. Meh. 3 year deals will become more common as the logic of the 2-year deal (one season+cash exit) has never really done us much good.

Suppose there is also the two-year deal with the possible extension that Power has used with Smith and Kasim. I massively pre-judge all of our players - I want them all to be okay and it takes a little while to disavow me of that opinion. Which makes me Doctor Fucking Pangloss round here.

My mate and I used to sing "where's where's where's Whalley" all the time. Useless.

I know fans generally slag off players who leave, but this is a view from a Coventry fan.
'Can't tackle, not a particularly good passer, can't shoot, can't dribble. The best thing I can say about his ability is he runs around but not across the half way line because that is too dangerous for him.
Amazed he has got a 3 year deal, suspect this is a case of Swindon seeing he has 100 appearances for a perceived 'big' club in this division so thinking he must be half decent. If you had signed him on a one year deal I'd have still thought he was a crap signing but could see the logic behind taking the gamble on a short term deal.'

Meh. Meh. Meh.
I'll reserve judgement and give him the benefit of the doubt.
Thanks though, Cov fans.

What about we give the bloke a chance, at least until his first miss placed pass 10 minutes in against supermarine!

A lot of Cov fans has said there's a player in there and Williams has definitely shown his ability in getting the best out of players... so who knows. Most of us said Flint was shit when he left...
