If Lee is deemed not good enough I'm glad my son quit when he did. Didn't think so at the time but he's been proved right. Marshall was the most highly rated player in his year and rightly so. Anyone reading this who has their kid at a pro club and thinks their lad is gonna make because they are signed to a professional club then think again. 1000/1 + chance at best they'll make pro then after a 1 year contract they'll get the boot more likely. World hard at school as football is highly unlikely to look after you. Gifted player or not.

They won't listen. If a year 6 kid thinks they have a chance and a club ain't already had a look at them then they are better off buying a lottery ticket. They could be signed and bigged up to the max as a kid and they still will probably be on the scrap heap at 18. This is the reality of the situation.

Taken from the Woking forum re Goddard
Signed for Swindon according to some mouthy bloke in the bar. Hardly a reliable source but as he gave us 'the wave' when he came off I doubt we'll be seeing him next year. Best of luck to him - great player and seems like a sensible lad so really wish him all the best. Let's just hope we get a few quid for him.

Will Henry's only been on the scene a little while having started his YTS at Bristol City. His arrival must've killed any hopes that Johns had of progressing.
Oh Will Henry, used to play for City but.......

Interesting - guess there's little sense in keeping both of them.

One in goal and one on the bench would work.

Wes Thomas is out of contract at Birmingham this summer - I wonder if he will be someone Power will potentially look at to strengthen up front as he was rated quite highly and in the couple of games he did play looked as if he would be an asset

I doubt that will happen, i wouldnt be surprised if Thomas told them to fuck off if offered after his loan spell. I know it wasnt his fault we had too many loans but i wouldnt be surprised if he thought that loan spell was a complete waste of his time

Can't see an unemployed footballer telling a club to "fuck off" unless he has a string of better offers on the table. I think his spell at Town would have been more rewarding if he hadn't had gotten injured - he could well have forced someone else out the side. I'd be ok with him coming back but suspect he could do better.
