Ajose would be a definite loss. If he's happy to stay then £500k isn't worth taking.

Says that he's got for them. Have we seen accounts to show we got the money or was 90% of it contingent on Gladwin scoring a hat trick for Kenya in the finals of the Euros?

I just want to say that's the first time I've seen the word "contingent" used on this forum, or anywhere else come to that Hmmm

Why do I keep seeing that Ajose has failed at Championship level? If anything looking at his stats he only seemed to struggle when on loan at clubs such as Crawley, Chesterfield and Bury. He made 3, yes 3 appearances for Leeds and he is being dismissed? Ask any Leeds fans and they actually said he was one of their best players at the start of the season. The tit that is Cellino then got involved with his managerial merry go round and thank fully he ended up back here. At a permanent club, something that he has never had since he was a 19 year old.

Players do improve over time you know! We've seen it a million times before and even more so at Swindon. A poacher and a 6 yard finisher is something that every club craves and needs. You don't get much more of a right time right place that Ajose and he's one of, if not the best at that in our league.

I think that you speak for most of us there. surely even power can see that. just as well we are running at break even so there is no financial pressure to do so.

You just need look at the career of Jamie Cureton, to know that a poacher will always get work, but it will often be at lower league clubs.

Cureton turned 40 this season, and still managed to bag a few for D and R. Over 250 league goals mostly in Div 3 or 4, did get some in Div 2....but the higher up you go the more managers and coaches demand something other than just scoring.

Yes and no, that is were striking parterships come into play. For a small poacher there isn't much you can ask for in terms of holding the ball up, what they would want and what he has is work rate.

saw DeltaIncline reckoned Vigs and Brophy would likely be off next season...if so that would be disappointing as it seems to be the second season when these rookies can start to convert promise into consistent performance

Yeah, I have asked what gives him that impression. Williams speaks highly of Brophy & Power highly of Vigs so there must be a fair chance at least 1, if not both, will be here next season.

They have already made up their minds on him, not good enough.
